Hi there,
Today I received a letter from O2, stating that I owe them a grand total of £2729.60 for an account they closed in May 2015.
Well it took me a second to work out what was going on as the letter was dated to me personally and to my home address and I did not have a perosnally O2 account back then. When in fact the account they are talking about was owned by a Limited Company that had 2 50:50 directors running it, which i was one of.
This company filled to be disolved in May 2015, all of the creditors were notified of this action including O2, but none of the creditors challanged the request and 1 year later the company dissolved without issues.
Now 2 years after the fact, O2 are chasing me for a debt owed by a Limited company, I can confirm no Directors Guarentees were given as I was in an IVA which prohibited them.
I plan to write to O2 and Lowell Portfolio | Ltd and explain the situation, but I wanted to get some advice from you guys first. I.e. do i just send the usual provide me proof I owe the debt or go away letter or should I do something a little more special?
I look forward to any advice you can offer.
